What the data says
Published figures for Bengaluru differ by source and year, so we do not quote one number here. What most sources agree on is that weekday mornings and evenings are slowest, and that the evening is often harder. Trafixcast shows the predicted time for your own trip instead of a city average.
Places commonly named as slow
Silk Board junction, the Hebbal flyover, KR Puram and the Outer Ring Road are the places most often named in coverage of Bengaluru traffic.
How to avoid the peak
- Leave before the peak starts or after it eases. Commonly shared advice is that even 15 to 20 minutes earlier can help.
- Compare every 30 minutes for your own route, because the quickest time is often not the one you would guess.
- Check the forecast. Rain slows traffic, and Trafixcast tells you first if rain is forecast for a slot.
