Know before you board
Same station. Same hour. A seat or a squeeze?
Trains fill up at the same times every day. Trafixcast shows how full your Namma Metro is likely to be, and how long the trip takes, every 30 minutes for the next 7 days, so you can ride when there is room.
A seat, a window, nobody's elbow. Rare enough to plan for.
No time to fill in details?
Just tell Trafi, our AI assistant, which stations you are travelling between and when.

Find the best time to take Namma Metro
Trafixcast compares the trip time and the crowd on the train for every 30 minutes across the next 7 days, so you can see when a seat is likely and when the platform will be packed. It is free and needs no sign-up. Estimates come from past ridership, not live data.
Can I get a seat on Namma Metro in the morning?
It depends on the station, the direction and the time. Trafixcast compares every 30 minutes across the next 7 days using past ridership, and shows a plain label for each time: Seat likely, Standing room, Crowded or Packed.
Is the crowd level live?
No. It is an estimate from past ridership (August and September 2025 passenger counts), adjusted for public holidays and rain. It does not know about delays or a train that is running late today.
Which platform should I use?
Trafixcast names the direction of travel, for example towards Challaghatta. It shows a platform number only when that number has been confirmed; otherwise check the station display.
Where does the data come from?
Hourly passenger counts released by BMRCL under the Right to Information Act, compiled by Vonter/bmrcl-ridership-hourly under the ODbL licence. Station order and lines come from public sources.
