Find the best time to leave in Bengaluru and Chennai
Trafixcast compares predicted travel time for every 30 minutes across the next 7 days, by car, bike or scooter, so you can pick the quickest time to leave. It is free and needs no sign-up. See the guides for Bengaluru peak hours, Chennai peak hours, Bengaluru airport and Chennai airport.
What is the best time to leave in Bengaluru and Chennai?
It depends on your route, the day and the weather. Weekday mornings (roughly 8 to 10:30 AM) and evenings (roughly 5 to 8 PM) are commonly the slowest, but the gap between two nearby times can be large. Trafixcast shows the predicted travel time for every 30 minutes over the next 7 days, so you can see the quickest slot for your own trip.
How does Trafixcast work?
You enter a start, an end and the hours you can leave. Trafixcast asks TomTom for the predicted travel time for each 30-minute slot, then adjusts it for rain, public holidays and your vehicle. It shows a typical time and a likely worst case for each slot.
Does Trafixcast tell me if it will rain on my commute?
Yes. If rain is forecast for any time slot shown, Trafixcast says so first, and the slot is marked with a rain icon. You can also ask Trafi, the chat assistant, whether it will rain in your city or at a place.
Is Trafixcast free?
Yes. There is no sign-up and nothing to pay. Estimates are ranges, not promises, so use them to compare times.
